Skin Deep

A short, bittersweet interactive digital comic dealing with self love and body image. Play as Kira, a young Irish-Korean girl growing up in suburban America as she journeys through the pains of adolescence filled with bullying, friends, and loss.

This game includes interactive metaphors of body image and was motivated by the lack of intersectional narratives about healthy and unhealthy body image within digital storytelling.

Skin Deep was a MFA Thesis game directed by Abby Sherlock and was showcased at the 2022 USC Games Expo.
